It's been a busy day today doing the weekly grocery shop. It took all morning and then quite some time to put it all away. I have the most enormous fridge but I had trouble fitting it all in.

My son and family are coming to stay this weekend so we shall have some fun playing with Corey and Tyler.

I did the recipe card challenge again this month at Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

Here is the card I made using the challenge kit. Maurine makes such wonderful kits for these recipe challenges.

Fruit Meringue Surprise

I decided to use the blank recipe card to make a layout of Tyler.

 Tyler's First Icecream

It's getting a bit late now so I'll say goodbye. See you soon.

I've made another layout with the Moo Two Pool Party Collaboration.

Here is my layout using a photo of Tyler when he was about 6 months old:

Chilling Out

Wasn't he a little cutie?

Wednesday, 22 August 2012

Had a busy day today. Went shopping this morning and was lucky enough to get two new tops and a pair of leggings that actually fitted me.

There is one certain store that shall be nameless where they do leggings in size 12-14 and size 16-18. I am normally a size 16 so the 16-18 leggings were enormous on me and were almost as baggy in the leg as my jeans. When I tried to put the 12-14 ones on, I couldn't get them past my knees - they were so tight. You would have laughed to see it - glad nobody did.

Anyway, I'm happy now that I managed to get some from the other store.

Not much to show you today but I thought that I would show you some photos of Corey my youngest grandson - Tyler's baby brother. These were taken by 'Funny Grandad'.

Hello Grandad, are you watching me!

Look I can stand up now

Big Gummy Smile

He is no longer a little baby but turning into a lovely little boy. He crawls at a fantastic speed and loves walking round the furniture. It won't be long before he is walking.

Be back tomorrow. Bye for now.

Sunday, 19 August 2012

It has been so hot this weekend. I'm melting.

Managed to get out in the garden to do a bit of deadheading early this morning. My roses are really going to be wonderful when they come into their third flowering this summer.

I'm going to show you a few photos of our day out in Windsor with Tyler.

A ride on a train. Tyler driving, me holding onto him. It zigzagged all over the place.

I'm a policeman.

I can drive the fire engine.

The carousel Tyler had a ride on.

 Having fun in the park.

We saw this strange car and caravan type trailer in Windsor.

We were lucky enough to see this wonderful pair of horses pulling a cart laden with visitors to Windsor.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Chris.

Wednesday, 15 August 2012

Today I'm going to show you the layout I made with the Moo Two August Collaboration called Pool Party.

.
The photos were taken in 'Doggy Grandad's' garden. He calls him this to distinguish between my husband who is called 'Funny Grandad' and his other grandad. The dog trying to get into the action is Cooper who is sadly no longer with us. He was such a big dog but absolutely loved Tyler and always wanted to join in the fun.

Here is the preview of the wonderful  Collaboration that I made the layout with:

You can buy it now at the special price of $6.00.

Bye for now. See you tomorrow

Tuesday, 14 August 2012

Well, it's been a very busy couple of days. Tyler is staying with us for the week and we have been planning lots of things to do. On Monday we had a wonderful day at Old MacDonald's Farm and have lots of photos of Tyler having a wonderful time. I hope to make some layouts soon with them.

Tyler and Uncle Ian having a rest on a cow seat.

Tyler being a horse in the picture cutouts.

Today we have been at Ruislip Lido. Tyler had a great time on the bouncy castles, riding on the little steam train to the beach and playing on the swings and playing in the sand. He was so tired when we got home that he fell asleep on the sofa watching Bambi and his grandad had to carry him up to bed. I think that he wore his little self out with all that bouncing around. More photos to make layouts with.

That little chap in the orange shirt climbing up the ladder is Tyler. He was the smallest one to go down the bouncy slide while we were there.

When we finished our ride on the train, Tyler wanted to have a look at the engine and the driver asked him if he would like to sit inside.

Tomorrow rain is forecast so we have decided to make it a shopping day to replenish our food stores and stock up the fridge. Don't suppose there will be any exciting photo opportunities there though!!!

Talk to you again.

Sunday, 12 August 2012

It's a beautiful day today and we've been making the most of it because it is going to rain tomorrow. We've been out in the garden having fun with the grandsons.

I made a layout with a kit by Country Liv's Graphics called Wacky Tea Party

I just had to add a photo of Teddy as Tyler loves him so much. He has just gone round Aunty Susan's to help give Teddy his dinner. They have such fun playing together.

Dawn has made two layouts using my kit for the Scrapping Fairytales August Design Challenge and posted them on her blog.

Don't you think the layouts and the photos are lovely? Thank you Dawn for using my kit.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Saturday, 11 August 2012

Thursday, 9 August 2012

I have some wonderful news to share with you today.

I have been invited to be on the Creative Team at Moo Two Designs.

Here is a preview of their wonderful new Designer Collaboration 'Pool Party'.

Over the next few weeks I will be creating some layouts with this kit and will be sharing them with you.

The kit that I am working on for the Scrapping Fairytales August Design Challenge is almost complete. I hope to be able to let you see the previews and give you the download links in a few days.

I have also completed a layout for the August Theme Challenge at Zig Zag Scraps using 'Handmade with Love' by Pink Reptile Designs and Studio 68. I also used the August Facebook Fan Freebie Template by Camomile Designs. The sun and cloud are from 'Earth and Sky' by Created by Jill.

The photos were taken when my son Richard and his wife Charlie took Tyler on holiday to Tenerife.

Talk to you again tomorrow.

Wednesday, 8 August 2012

Bit late posting today as we went shopping and I got home with a sinus headache.

A few more layouts today I think.

This is Tyler in his new bedroom. I made this for the July 2012 Complete Me Challenge at Zig Zag Scraps using the 'Summer Memories' add on by tforme designs. I blended a photo of Tyler's room with the yellow background paper and put the photos in the cluster that was given to participants in the challenge.

I made this for the Birthday Cake Challenge. The photo is of my cousins. Lynnett lives in England and Gail in Australia. They do see quite a lot of each other as Lynnett visits for a couple of months every year. I used the Birthday Grab Bag by Designsbyhilde to make this layout.

The third layout is one I made for the July Ad Inspiration challenge using a photo of Tyler taken by his mum Charlie. Looks like he was in a pensive mood.I used a Ninigoesdigi fan page gift.My inspiration was the mono colour scheme and I recoloured everything to shades of black and white.

The last one is my layout for the I Hate It July 2012 Theme Challenge. I used tforme designs 'Letters to You' facebook gift with the stitching and bottle tops from another designer.

So now you can see what I look like! This is a real family group.

The top photo is of Charlie (bridesmaid) and me, with two of my son-in-law's relatives. It was taken at Susan and Ian's wedding in March 2012.

The centre one is of Ian my son-in-law, my husband Richard, me and my daughter Susan. This was taken at the wedding of Natalie (Ian's sister and Susan's friend) to Phil.

The bottom picture is of my husband Richard, Charlie, my son Richard and me. The photo was taken when Charlie and Richard got married in May 2008.

I'll say bye for now. See you tomorrow.

Tuesday, 7 August 2012

Good morning everyone.

I finally finished my kit (almost a week late) for the Moo Two July 2012 Paint the Barn Challenge

You need to go to the forum (above) to get the links for my contribution. I hope you will register and enjoy all the fun things going on at Moo Two. You will find the links to the store, forum and gallery, here

Here is the colour palette. Such gorgeous colours, I think you will agree.

And here are the previews for my kit.

I just love how the papers turned out, don't you. I struggle with making elements and asked Liv for some suggestions. She suggested adding flowers to two of my frames and I am really pleased with them.

I am a self-taught amateur designer and am learning new things all the time thanks to my designing friends. Please read my TOU if you download the kit and learn of the wonderful people who help me.

I will have some really important news to share with you in the next couple of days - watch this space ...

Monday, 6 August 2012

Monday has come round again. I don't know where the time goes.

I'm going to show you some cards that I made for the Recipe Card challenges at Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

The first card is for the May 2012 challenge and is for Flaky Cheesy Shapes.

The second one is for the June 2012 challenge and is for Splurge - a family favourite.

This is a card I made for the July 2012 challenge for Sticky Chicken Skewers.

I also participated in the Christmas in July challenge last month and this is the card I made for Xmas Marzipan Sweets.

In the Recipe Card Challenges you have to use the monthly kit to create a recipe card. Everyone who participates in a particular month's challenge receives all the cards that have been made for the challenge. That way you can build up quite a collection of wonderful recipes.

Participants to the challenge are sent a coupon to get the following month's kit free so that they can make cards for the challenge. Also by entering any challenge at the Studio participants receive 10% off of any purchases for the next month.

I hope you enjoy looking at my cards and would hope that you would register at the Forum and take part in some of the challenges.

Make sure that you register at the Store as well and get the wonderful free collaboration called 'Renew'.

This is what they have to say about 'Renew':

This gorgeous kit was a true labor of love. A call to arms for some of my Designers to create a special, wonderful, amazing freebie to thank all our loyal customers, scrappers & friends as we  moved to a faster server and upgraded our store. This kit is now free in our store for anyone & everyone who missed getting a piece in our newsletters. You can always sign-up HERE

I think that is about all for today. See you all tomorrow.

Sunday, 5 August 2012

I'm a bit late posting today as I have been working on a kit I have been making for a forum colour challenge.

I'm going to show you some more of my layouts that I made using kits from Zig Zag Scraps..

The first is a layout of my son's wedding day. I used the Handmade with Love kit by Pink Reptile Designs and Studio 68.

The next layout  I made for the July 2012 Lift Yourself Challenge using a photo of my grandson Tyler taken at his Nursery School. I used a fun page gift by Camomile Designs.

.

These photos are of Tyler's first birthday. I made this layout for the Birthday Memories Challenge using the May 2012 Sampler.

The photos of Tyler are just so cute. He is three and half years now and is really getting to be a very clever little boy who won't stop asking questions.

Friday, 3 August 2012

As you can see, I have been making changes to the layout and sidebar of my blog with the help of my great friend Liv. I think it is coming along nicely.

Today I'm going to show you some of the layouts I made for the July Challenges at Zig Zag Scraps (you can find the link to their site in the sidebar.

I made this layout for the BOAW - Studio 68 & Pink Reptile Designs- Challenge 2. I used Blue Flower Art's 'My Heart's Dream' freebie. Wordart is by TLC (modified).

This is my daughter's house rabbit Teddy. He is so friendly and has the run of the house. She also has a beautiful hamster called Bear who wants to come out and play in her ball all the time.

I made this layout for the BOAW - Studio 68 & Pink Reptile Designs - challenge 1. I used Handmade with Love and the add on together with the template for the challenge.

The layout is about my love of cardmaking. The top card is a special one that I made for my Son-in-law's birthday. The bottom picture has six of my homemade cards.
You can see a larger version of my handmade cards in my sidebar.

I made this layout for the July 2012 Template Challenge. I used Our Summer Picnic by Pink Reptile Designs and a wordart by Erica Swart. The photo is of a family friend Angie. She was so pleased when I printed it out for her.

Well folks, I think that's my lot for the day. See you soon.
